Hollow Bar

The pressurized grout actually pushes into sandy soils as the bar advances, boosting the load capacity of the finished pile. With grout filling the hole the entire time, there is no need for casing during installation on most jobs.

Solid Bar

Follows a multi step sequence that includes pre drilling, placing reinforcement, and then grouting after the bar is in place. This method is typically used where ground conditions are stable enough to maintain the drilled hole until grouting is complete.
